Modest Means

This program assists clients who can contribute toward legal representation but cannot afford market rates. It also allows our organization to offer support for modification or post-decree cases when pro bono attorneys are unavailable.

This program assists individuals who are at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. If you qualify, here’s what to expect:
Apply – Submit your application online or over the phone.
Pay $25 Fee – This helps cover the cost of materials and processing.
Bring Paperwork – Gather and provide any documents needed for review.
Retainer – A retainer of $500-$1000 will need prepared to give the Modest Means attorney. Anything in excess of 10 hours will be at an hourly rate determined by the attorney and client.
Placement – Once intake is complete, we will work to place your case with a volunteer attorney.
