Modest Means

This program assists Allen County residents who can contribute toward legal representation but cannot afford market rates. It also allows our organization to offer support for modification or post-decree cases when pro bono attorneys are unavailable.

This program assists individuals who are at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. If you qualify, here’s what to expect:

• Apply – Submit your application online or over the phone.

• Pay $30 Fee – This helps cover the cost of materials and processing.

• Bring Paperwork – Gather and provide any documents needed for review.

• Retainer – A retainer of $1000 will need prepared to give the Modest Means attorney. Anything in excess of 10 hours will be at an hourly rate determined by the attorney and client.

• Placement – Once intake is complete, we will work to place your case with a volunteer attorney.
